Your First Firing Solution
Turn a bearing-and-range report into the four numbers you need at the gun, then choose the correct payload.
Read the report
Treat north as 000°. Bearings increase clockwise, so east is 090°, south is 180°, and west is 270°. Keep the observer named in the report attached to every bearing and distance.
- Choose Direct / self-spot when the range is measured from the Iron Nest.
- Choose Forward observer when the target leg starts from a separate observation point.
- Enter the bearing and distance without rounding away useful digits.
Read back the solution
The planner returns degrees, NATO mils, range, minimum powder charge, and payload in one line. Set the bearing, verify the charge, confirm the shell, and read the complete order back before firing.
- Check that the range is 30 units or less.
- Match the selected shell code to the physical payload.
- After impact, apply the observer correction to a new solution instead of guessing at the gun.
Use the first tutorial
Hospital False Flag is the simplest practice case in the accepted demo data. Its roster is soft, so HE is the practical starting payload. The lesson is the map-to-gun loop, not ammunition optimization.
