Counter-Battery: Beat the Timer
Plan the battery sequence before impact, prioritize artillery, and use FDC objectives to preserve decision time.
Do the paperwork before the first round
In Operation 4, the counter-battery clock begins when the first shell lands. The useful advantage is preparation: resolve every actionable observer report, write down the bearings, and decide the battery order before firing.
- Open Artillery & Counter-Battery and inspect the seven roster types.
- Use HE for the soft artillery objectives.
- Place the five Artillery 1 entries at the top of the sequence.
Keep corrections disciplined
A rushed miss costs more than the shell: it burns timer while the next battery remains active. Read each correction from its named observer, update the correct leg, and produce a fresh bearing and range.
- Do not mix a correction from one spotter with another spotter's origin.
- Use the minimum charge band for the recomputed range.
- Switch targets only after the current threat is confirmed destroyed.
Use FDC targets in the challenge
Challenge: FDC records underground FDC positions as hardened objectives. AP is the first choice. Their role is different from ordinary targets: eliminating them suspends counter-battery coordination and creates planning room.
